Center Discharge Pump vs. Side Discharge Pump

Pumps with 48-frame motors can be ordered with side or center discharge.

Center-discharge pumps come standard with screw on unions which glue directly onto 1.5 inch plumbing. Adaptors are provided for the center discharge pumps when 2.0 inch plumbing is requested. Side-discharge pumps come standard with screw on unions which glue directly onto 2.0 inch plumbing.Reducer bushings are provided for the side discharge pumps when 1.5 inch plumbing is requested.

Pumps with 56-frame motors come standard in 2.0 inch side discharge with screw on unions. You may select the intake to be 2.0 inch or 2.5 inch.

After the unions are glued onto the spas existing plumbing, the unions screw directly onto the pump suction and return fittings and seal tightly with included o-rings.
