432. Gas Heater to work with non-gas spa controllers with electric heaters from SpaGuts.

Here are your choices on a Spa Controller for a Gas Heater application. 1) For Stand-A-Lone Gas Heaters that just need water flow to trigger the Ignition Switch. A) Our Non-Gas Spa Controllers come standard with an electric heater (Any of our Standard Spa Controllers on SpaGuts website). You can plumb in a Gas Heater to the configuration. Our spa controller will monitor the water temperature, and automatically turn the pump on when the system is calling for heat. Once your gas heater detects the water flow and the water needs to be heated, your gas heater will heat up the water that is returning back to the spa. NOTE that our electric heater metal tube MUST first be plumbed in-line right after the pump discharge, and BEFORE the gas heater. Then after our electric heater metal tube, the plumbing can go through the gas heater and then back to the jets. Do Not perform the plumbing in parallel. The plumbing must be in series (inline) in order for the system to operate properly. NOTE 1: You can completely deactivate our electric heater by removing the heater cables, which means you'll be using your gas heater as the only heater. Make sure that our heater metal tube is plumbed in, because sensors are installed on our heater metal tube to monitor water flow and water temperature. These sensors will allow proper operation and turn on the pump when the system is calling for heat. Your gas heater will most likely already have it's own sensors installed to maintain the heat. But our spa controller also need it's own sensors. NOTE 2: If you are going this route, you are responsible for all liabilities to ensure proper operation, since your gas heater will be the main heat source. You just have to make sure the installation is done correctly to allow proper operation. B) If you ONLY want a Pump Controller where you would push a button to activate the pump, and/or a Pump Controller that uses a Timer to activate the pump, then check out our "Four Function Control". These Pump Controllers do not have a temperature control, and no heater. No plumbing is involved on these type of controllers. Your Gas Heater will be the one that only has the temperature control. Push a button to activate the pump when you want to heat up the spa. Or set the time clock to run the pump when you want the spa to be heated during a certain time. 2) For Gas Heaters that already have a 12V, 24V or 120V Ignition Circuit ready for a spa controller hook up. We have as a Special Order, the Outdoor Series Spa Controllers with NO Heater, but has a Fireman's Switch to work with the Ignition Circuit. Controller model CS8800-C with Balboa BP Platform and a TP600 Topside Panel. See link for more information and to view the controller: https://www.spaguts.com/Products/hydro-quip-outdoor-series-electronic-spa-controller-kit-balboa-wifi-enabled-gas-ready-cs8800-c-811.aspx Your Gas Heater ignition circuit will send either a 12V, 24V or 120V to our Spa Controller's Fireman Switch. When the spa controller is calling for heat, it will activate the pump and the Fireman Switch, which will return the "voltage" of the ignition circuit back to the gas heater. And if the gas heater needs to heat the water that is flowing through, it will ignite the burner. NOTE 1: These controllers will have an attached heater metal tube, but with NO heater element inside. Our heater metal tube MUST be plumbed inline before the gas heater, because sensors are installed on our heater metal tube to monitor water flow and water temperature. These sensors will allow proper operation and turn on the pump when the system is calling for heat. Your gas heater will most likely already have it's own sensors installed to maintain the heat. But our spa controller also need it's own sensors. Do Not perform the plumbing in parallel. The plumbing must be in series (inline) in order for the system to operate properly. NOTE 2: If you are going this route, you are responsible for all liabilities to ensure proper operation, since your gas heater will be the main heat source. You just have to make sure the installation is done correctly to allow proper operation. ***Outdoor rated Controllers DO NOT come with cords***
