819. Old Pump is now only humming and will not run (Non-SpaGuts Parts)

If your OLD pump now stopped working, does not run at all and only hums, the problem is either the main power supply to the spa, the spa controller not sending correct power to the pump motor, or the pump motor is bad. - Have your electrician check the power supplying to the spa controller. This is the power from the main breaker to the spa or hot tub. Possible that your power supply to the spa or hot tub is bad. - If the power supply to the spa or hot tub is verified that it is good, have your electrician to verify the correct power is being supplied from the spa controller to the pump motor. Confirm the operating voltage shown on the pump motor label. This is the voltage that needs to show on the voltage meter when verifying the power at the back of the pump motor. If low or no voltage at the pump motor, then there is a problem with the spa controller. Maybe internal pump fuses are blown, or the spa controller needs to be replaced. If there is correct voltage at the pump motor, then the complete pump and motor should be replaced. You can try to replace the part(s) that you think is bad to see if it will fix the problem. But if the spa is at least 5 years old, we highly recommend replacing the entire Spa Controller and/or Pump. A New Spa Controller Kit will include a Heater, Topside Panel and Sensors. A New Pump includes the Motor. If the spa is more than 8 years old, it's best to just replace with a New Spa Controller Kit and Pump, which is also known as a Spa Pack. Contact us if you need a new replacement pump, spa controller or a complete spa pack.
