644. Reason for a topside overlay to crack and falling apart (peel away)

Cracks, broken or peeling topside overlays are normally caused by allowing the topside panel to be exposed to sun light for many long periods of time. Long periods of sun light exposure will cause the overlay to dry up, crack and peeling off. To avoid future damages to the topside overlay, cover up the spa with a spa cover right after every use. Many customers forget to put the spa cover back on right away after use. However, there are rare ocasions that the topside overlay itself do go bad due to it being defective. Other causes would be due to wear and tear, or improper installation of the topside overlay. If the topside panel with overlay is still within the warranty period, request an RMA to have the topside panel with overlay attached to be returned for a warranty inspection. Yes, the topside with overlay attached needs to be returned. Note that topside overlays that are purchased separately only have 3 months limited warranty.
