607. Support: New spa heater is installed, and it will not heat (no heat)

You have contacted us regarding the new spa heater is not heating. Please go through the following information to troubleshoot. 1. Note that the spa must be running for at least 2 to 4 hours to determine if the spa is heating or not. 2. To verify if the problem is the heater, verify voltage across the heater terminals or heater cables with a voltmeter. For 110V application, the voltmeter should display 110V+ when measuring between the heater terminals or heater cables. For 220V application, the voltmeter should display 220V+ when measuring between the heater terminals or heater cables. (Do not go from ground/neutral to each heater connections. And do not add 110V plus 110V to get 220V) 2a. If there is correct voltage to the heater, the problem may be a bad heater, the heater is burnt out or an improper installation is made. Request an RMA to authorize the return of the heater for warranty inspection. 2b. If there is no or low voltage to the heater, the problem would be the control system not supplying power to the heater. 3. Keep in mind that the primary pump (or heat pump) needs to be running with strong water pressure through it's corresponding jet(s). If there are no strong water pressure from the primary heat pump, the control system will not send power to the heater. 4. Digital Electronic Systems will have a topside keypad with display. If there are error codes on the topside panel, the control system will not send power to the heater. 5. If the primary heat pump is not running. Troubleshoot to see why the pump has stopped running. Possible a bad pump, a bad motor cord, or a problem with the control system not sending power to the pump. There may also be a problem with the main power supply. Note that a burnt out heater is caused by a dry fire. Faulty control systems will allow the heater to come on with low or no water flow. This allows the heater to over heat and burn out. Heaters with signs of a dry fire is not covered under warranty.
