595. Support: Pump stopped working on VS-Series Spa Pack

You have contacted us regarding the pump on the VS Series spa pack has stopped working. Please check the following: - Are you able to run the pump on low and high speed? Or is it only running in one speed? If the pump still runs but with low water flow, respond to us for Air Bleeding Guide. - Try powering down the spa for at least 5-10 minutes (to allow the system to reset itself). Then power up the spa. Allow it to go through the cycles, and then try activating the pump again. - Power down the spa again, and try swapping the topside cable connection from J1 to J2 on the main circuit board. Follow the cable off the topside panel that connects to the circuit board, or see the wiring diagram for topside cable connection. Then power up the spa to see if you are now able to operate the pump. - If the pump stops running completely, please check the power supplying to the controller. The voltage being supplied from the controller needs to match the operating voltage shown on the motor label. Verify incoming power to the spa and output power to the motor with a voltmeter. Please contact an Electrician for voltage check. For 220V measurements, make sure the voltmeter displays 220V. Do not add 110V + 110V equals 220V. From the back of the motor wire connections while the controller is calling for the low speed, measure voltage between the white and red wire. Then switch to high speed, and measure voltage between the white and black wires. If low voltage is supplied, then the problem is coming from the controller. If correct voltage is supplied, then the problem is from the pump motor. - Check to see if the 25A or 30A Green labeled fuse is blown. Look in wiring diagram for fuse(s) location. If any fuse(s) is blown, replace with the exact same fuse rating. This can be found at an electric supply store. Also make sure the fuse holder is in contact with the fuse. The fuse hold may be open, not allowing contact with the fuse. - If the HL (Hi-Limit) or OH (Ovreheat) error codes are displaying on the topside panel, it will stop the pump from running. This error code should automatically reset itself once everything is back to normal condition. Ask tech support for information to troubleshoot on these error codes if they are displaying on the topside panel. - Make sure the motor cord is properly plugged into the Controller receptacle. Also make sure the wire connections on the back of the motor is not loose. Make sure the motor cord is not damaged or broken. There are a few ocassions where a motor cord may have gone bad. So verify that there is correct power supplied directly to the back of the motor terminals. - Check to see if there is water leak under the spa. Water can leak inside the motor, and caused the motor to stop running. If water infiltrated the motor, the warranty is affected. - Check to see if the motor is really hot. There is a thermal protection on the motor. If the motor gets really hot, it will automatically shut off. To resume operation, allow the motor to cool down. If the motor constantly gets hot the problem can be low water flow to the pump, insufficient ventilation, low voltage to the motor, motor running for a long period of time, or it is just a defective motor. The problem can be the power supply to the spa, the controller not supplying the correct power to the pump motor, or the pump motor is bad. Respond back to us with your findings. An RMA may be needed to authorize a part to be returned for inspection.
